SOMATIC 1:1s
somatic centered 1:1 sessions to develop sustainable and therapeutic self-tending rituals
We co-create the sessions together based on what supports your growth and how I can hold that space with you based on my credentials and experience.
I am informed by my lifetime as a movement artist, a decade of personal trauma recovery work, working as an educator, studying dream analysis, creative writing, breath work, somatic vocal practices, nannying infants and toddlers, caregiving for my grandmother in her last year of life, and everything else.
I am an eternal student of the healing body, culture, and collective liberation, LGBTQIA+ informed, 12 steps (in progress), trauma-aware/informed, Certified in Somatic and Psychotherapy Practices, plus more certifications in progress.
exchange:
My rate for this work is set to reflect purposeful one on one attention.
$150/hr | in person | sliding scale options
sessions are a minimum of 1.5 hours / session and folks commit to a minimum of 8 sessions
The nervous system requires time, repetition, and deep slow attention so we can truly access a sense of safety and ease. This is why sessions must be 1.5 or more hours and why I request a long term commitment to our collaborative practice.
I recommend meeting twice per month, however folks can decide on the most helpful frequency after our first session.
One one one client work supports and sustains my other more financially accessible sliding scale practices and group work. If my rate is challenging, we can discuss a sliding scale. Please keep an eye out for my workshops and community offerings which generally are available at lower sliding scale rates.
location:
LOS ANGELES
I can come to your studio, or home, or we can meet in a public setting like a park or a garden. We co-create the parameters based on the needs of the practice.
If you do not live in the LA area, but would like to work together, we can discuss remote options via Zoom.
resources:
I am always in the process of learning from peers as well as authors, activists, psychologists, and educators who have influenced my work including Resmaa Menakem (somatic abolitionism), Mia Schachter (consent), Pema Chodron (spirituality and ethos), Gabor Mate (trauma informed care), Adrienne Maree Brown (pleasure activism), and Marion Woodman (dream and soul tending).
disclaimer and agreement:
I am not a licensed therapist, and while this work can be therapeutic it does not replace therapy with a licensed professional. I am happy to share mental health resources and folks who I know work in the field, and encourage you to support your work with me with outside support.
If I believe that working together will be a good fit I will invite you to schedule a free consultation with me over the phone. After that we can begin scheduling sessions :)
